Saint Kateri Tekakwitha

Size: 8 1/2" (21.6cm) (Katherine, Katarina, Catarina, Catalina) [1656-1680], first native North American to be beatified. Her mother was Algonquin, her father a chief of the Mohawks. Baptized at the age of 20, she lived four years as a Christian in such an exemplary manner that she was persecuted in life and acclaimed at death. Her feast is April 17. She was canonized by Pope Benedict XVI on 10/21/2012.
